Any other mil pilots, feel free to chime in. When I interviewed at SWA many years back they asked to see in my logbooks when my upgrade to A/C was (I think for the purpose of verifying my PIC hours in the C-2A). I didn't use LogTen Pro X, but when I created my Excel spreadsheet of flight hours (also former Navy pilot from 10+ years ago), here is what I did, and my aircraft is similar to yours (heavy transport) although lighter weight:Īll FPT and CPT prior to upgrading to A/C, I logged as SIC time, as even though you are a required crewmember, you probably can't log PIC time under the FAA's "sole manipulator of the controls rule" much in the same way an airline F/O can't typically log as PIC time, sole manipulator of the controls even though they are the one flying half the time.Īll flight time when I signed for the aircraft later as the A/C or Instructor Pilot, I logged as PIC time.įrom flight school, all my solo hours I also logged as PIC time as I was alone and unafraid, LOL.
